 Welcome to room 138.  I love seventh grade language arts, and I hope you will too.  The sign across the back of the room reads CONVINCE ME, and that will be one of your tasks this year--to back up your ideas with concrete evidence.  In order to achieve this goal, you will need to become a literary detective, searching for meaning in the author's words and returning to the text to unlock its message.

 

While writing and reading, we will come to understand and harness the Power of Words.
